MediMind is a healthcare app designed to make medical services more accessible. Users can find and book appointments with doctors or specialists based on what they need, manage the visits they already have scheduled, and message their doctor directly for follow-up questions.

The aim was to pull three things that normally live in separate places — booking, appointment management and doctor communication — into a single app, so patients can stay organised and stay in touch with healthcare professionals without the friction of traditional booking methods.

Three jobs in one app

The app is built around three core tasks. Booking lets users browse doctors and specialists, pick an available date and time, and confirm in a few steps. Appointment management gives them one place to see what is coming up, so visits do not get missed or double-booked.

In-app messaging covers the part most booking tools ignore: what happens after the consultation. Being able to ask a follow-up question without booking another appointment is what turns this from a scheduling tool into something patients keep on their phone.

Where booking normally breaks down

Traditional appointment systems are slow and awkward. Finding out which doctors are actually available takes phone calls or clicking through multiple pages, which is a lot of effort at the exact moment someone is feeling unwell.

Keeping track of what is booked is a second problem. Without one clear place to look, appointments get forgotten or confused, which leads to missed visits. And once a consultation is over, communication usually stops — patients are left with questions and no easy route back to their doctor.

Those three gaps set the priorities for the design: make availability visible up front, give appointments a single home, and keep a channel to the doctor open afterwards.

The journey, end to end

A user opens MediMind and logs in, landing on a home dashboard that presents the three routes clearly: book an appointment, view upcoming appointments, or message a doctor. Nothing is buried in a menu, because someone who feels unwell should not have to hunt.

Choosing to book leads them through browsing available doctors and specialists, selecting one, picking a date and time slot, and confirming. Once booked, the appointment appears in the appointments section where it can be reviewed or managed.

From there, messaging is one tap away. Questions and clarifications happen inside the same app as the booking, which keeps the whole relationship with a doctor in one continuous flow rather than scattered across a phone call, a calendar and an email.
